Undavalli: Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh assembly and YSR Congress Party President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy remarked that Chandrababu Naidu and his followers were like vultures who descended upon Amaravati to loot the place indiscriminately. YS Jagan said that Chandrababu Naidu chose one of the most fertile regions by the Krishna river for constructing the capital city. He added that the most affected party in the entire issue was the poor farmer who was cheated completely and made to part with land which fetched Rs five crores per acre.

Speaking at the public meeting here today as part of his mass contact initiative, Praja Sankalpa Yatra, the YSRCP Chief said that he was deeply pained to hear the problems narrated by the common citizens on his padayatra as he was appraoching Mangalagiri. "Anna, they took our land from us forcibly, not sparing even assigned land." As for land on the smaller islands which dot the Krishna river, the situation is so bad that it defies description. The TDP leaders cheated farmers saying that they would not get any compensation for these island lands, which the ruling party members acquired later for a song.

YS Jagan pointed out that Chandrababu Naidu who had promised free education from KG to PG did not even provide minimum bus facilities to students! The same was the case with assurances on loan waivers, unemployment allowance, interest-free loans shelter for elderly and a host of elections promises which Chandrababu Naidu had made in 2014.

The YSRCP Chief observed that Chandrababu Naidu lived a stone's throw away from Undavalli and yet seemed to feign ignorance when it came to illegal sand mining around his house! Tonnes of sand was being mined illegally everyday and transported right under the nose of the government, with the chief minister barely a few kilometers away. Chandrababu Naidu always brags about smart cities and a world class capital city, basic facilities like drainage facilities were not provided. He asked the people of the state to elect leaders who were trustworthy and had credibility.
