Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Andhra Pradesh state president Kambhampati Hari Babu took pot-shots at the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MPs. The Visakahapatnam MP made mockery of their decision to stage dharna at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's residence in New Delhi today.

Hari Babu mentioned that the MPs very well knew that they would arrested immediately by the police, but still went ahead because they were looking for media attention and were not really concerned about the state's welfare. It was nothing but staging yet another drama in Delhi by the TDP, he said.

The BJP state chief named the all party meeting called by the TDP as just "our party meeting". He criticised Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu of changing his stance in regards to Special Package and Special Category Status (SCS). He pointed that he had accepted the Package announced by centre two years ago.

Hari Babu found it very strange that after two years, Chandrababu was taking a u turn and mentioning that SCS was the best option for the state. All the claims by the AP CM about the centre not extending any support to the state were false and were aimed at misguiding the people, he added.
