New Delhi: A man posing as Uber cab driver was arrested on Tuesday for allegedly kidnapping and molesting a woman in the city here.

According to the police, the woman, who was waiting for a cab got into the car after the driver directed her to get into it. Believing it as her cab, the woman got into the cab. Later she realised that the car did not have a yellow number plate. The woman grew suspicious when the driver chose a different route and tried to jump out of the car.

On learning that the woman was trying to escape from the car, the driver switched on the central locking system. However, the woman managed to unlock the door and jumped out of the car when it slowed down near Jahangirpuri. The woman ran to the Mahender Park police station and lodged a complaint against the driver.
