Days before Padman was released, Twitter was flooded with Padman challenge breaking the taboo associated with menstruation. And now, the challenge has cruised nation to get global recognition. Russian model and actress Natalia Vodianova accepted the Padman challenge and also nominated other models - Doutzen Kroes, Alexina Graham and Emily Ratajkowski.

"Yes, that’s a Pad in my hand & there's nothing to be ashamed about. It's natural! Period. I nominate @emrata @doutzen @alexinagraham big shoutout to @twinklerkhanna for this initiative," she wrote on Instagram.

The post has so far evoked over 50K likes and 3K comments. Interestingly, Akshay Kumar's Padman which received rave reviews, is the first Indian film to release in Russia simultaneously. The film is doing good business and after Natalia joined, it would only boost its image further.

Padman is based on a real life story of Arunachalam Muruganantham.
