Hyderabad: An inebriated man created ruckus near the Jubilee Hills Checkpost, on Friday, during a routine drunk and drive checking operations by the city traffic police.

The traffic personnel at the checkpost stopped the youth's car and asked him to undergo a breath analyzer test. The test showed an alcohol percentage of 194, well above the permissible limit. The traffic constables promptly seized the car and began registering a case. The youth, then charged at the personnel and landed a couple of blows on the constables. The latter, too, retaliated. Alerted by the unexpected turn of events, a traffic police SI present at the scene warned the youth and the constables to step back.

Those caught in the drunk and drive operation will be directed to attend counselling sessions and also presented in the court, the SI said.
