Chittoor: Leader of Opposition and YSR Congress Party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Sunday lambasted Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu over his failure to develop the state and keep his election promises.

Speaking at a Racchabanda program organized by the party MLA Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy at Damalacheruvu in Chandragiri constituency as part of his Praja Sankalpa Yatra, YS Jagan said that Chandrababu is forming mafia gangs all over the state in the name of Janmabhoomi committees. "Chandrababu ignored his own Chandragiri constituency all these years but goes on to claim he will build another Singapore," YS Jagan criticized. Thousands of people attended the Racchabanda program.

"We treat our native village as our own mother. Chandrababu's village Naravaripalle and the Seshapuram where he went to school are in Chandragiri constituency. The school where he studied is in ruins now. He never cared about his school during his tenure as Chief Minister for nine years previously or even now. Over 70 percent of the villages in the constituency are not getting irrigation or drinking water. This sorry state of affairs is an indication to the situation of villages throughout the state," he said.

At Damalacheruvu market, nearly Rs 100 crore transactions take place every year but there is no proper road to reach the market even now. He ignored the GO issued by the late chief minister Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy to construct a 100-bedded hospital at Chandragiri. But the CM always claims that he will make AP like Singapore and Japan and whichever country he visits. He may even promise to bring sea to Chittoor," YS Jagan ridiculed Chandrababu.

Backstabber: Chandrababu Naidu won as an MLA from Chandragiri with 2,500 votes in 1979 and he became a minister because of YSR. As he did nothing for his constituency, people defeated him with a 17,429 margin in the next election. Then he joined Telugu Desam Party which was founded by his father-in-law NT Rama Rao who gave him a position when he was like a dead snake. But we all know how he ditched his father-in-law. He is an expert in deceiving and backstabbing the people who trust him, YS Jagan said.

Join Hands With Me: “A radical change in society is the need of the hour. Chandrababu deceived farmers, women's groups, students, unemployed, the old and the children. Every single area of life is riddled with corruption under Chandrababu. He promised to waive loans, but later went back on his promise. He promised to give jobs to all youth or unemployment allowance of Rs 2,000 per month but nothing was done. From digging of land for soil and sand, to purchase of power, coal, liquor, contracts, capital city lands, temple lands... everywhere corruption is ruling the roost. We need to change this and he should be forced to quit his CM post. You all need to join hands with me in this mission," YS Jagan appealed to the people.
