Hyderabad: A 27-year-old man from Qutbullapur in Hyderabad was killed in a multicar collision in Connecticut in the United States on Tuesday.

Shelton police on Wednesday identified the victim of the Tuesday night crash as Tulasi Ram, but have not released any other information. As per media reports from Connecticut, Shelton Detective Christopher Nugent said police had responded to a report of a multivehicle accident with a pedestrian struck at about 7:30pm on Tuesday.

According to Tulasi Ram’s brother Nagaraju here, a friend of Tulasi Ram had called him in the morning on Wednesday and informed about the accident.

“We have been told it was a hit and run case on Tuesday. It’s still unclear whether he was walking on the road or how he got involved in the accident,” he said, adding that no other information was available so far.

Tulasi Ram went to the US two years ago to pursue higher studies in the University of Bridgeport.
