Hyderabad: The TRS youth leader, Pulakandla Srinivas Reddy, who married another girl and forced his wife to leave their house after a girl child was born to them, is in trouble again. This time around, a third woman approached the police complaining that he married her and had sex with her over the past six months.

The TRS youth leader at Boduppal on the city outskirts threw his wife out after beating her in full public view when she questioned him about his second marriage to another girl. Srinivas Reddy and his parents vanished from the scene after the incident and his wife Sangeetha was sitting in a dharna in front of his house. She was supported in her protest by representatives of women's organisations. The police on Monday arrested Srinivas Reddy from a hideout and a case under various Acts has been booked against him.

Reddy, an active youth leader in TRS, married Sangeetha of Chandanagar four years ago. Ever since his wife gave birth to a girl child, Reddy had been harassing her asking her to leave the child at her parent’s place. Some time back, he physcially abused her due to which she had to undergo an ear surgery. While she was at her parent’s house, Reddy married another girl.

When Sangeetha and her family members came to Srinivas Reddy's house in Boduppal on Sunday, he attacked her and beat her in full public view and pushed her out of his house. The woman was sitting in a dharna demanding justice for her and her daughter.

Meanwhile, another woman by name Devi approached Medipally police on Monday claiming to be the third wife of Srinivas Reddy. She, in her complaint, claimed that Reddy married her and that the two had had been living together for six months now. Her mother said her daughter had been cheated upon and demanded action against Reddy.
