Hyderabad: Congress MLA Sampath Kumar on Tuesday alleged that there were several incidents of sexual harassment in the Narayana Group of educational institutions. He demanded stern action against the perpetrators.

Speaking to media persons here in the city, the MLA said that even after a woman employee came out openly on the issue of harassment by some staff members, no action has so far been taken against the college management, which is owned by Andhra Pradesh Minister P Narayana.

Meanwhile, Telangana Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Kadiam Srihari on Tuesday said that the education system in the state is back on track following the measures taken up by the state government. He was replying to the questions raised by the opposition members in the Telangana Assembly during the Question Hour. He further said that the state government had also issued migration certificates to students who were willing to study outside Telangana.

Medical, agricultural educational institutions are very fewer in Telangana, he said and added that the student who did not get a seat in Telangana were going to other states, he said.
