Leader of the Opposition and YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said a BC Committee would be constituted in a couple of days to ascertain the problems and seek suggestions from the backward communities. At the end of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra, a BC Garjana would be organised, where a BC Declaration would be unveiled for the alround progress and development of the BCs.

Addressing a well-attended BC conclave at Kanagudur in Mydukuru mandal on Monday as part of the Praja Sankalpa Yatra, YS Jagan said that the YSRCP was committed bring back smiles on the faces of the backward communities. He said his government, which would be formed one year from now, would ensure that the BCs get their due.

The Telugu Desam Party was paying only a lip service to the welfare of the BCs, YS Jagan charged . The real benefits will accrue to the BCs only when the YSRCP comes to power, he said.

He reminded that YSRCP had launched several initiatives to alleviate the lot of the backward communities. "Not one shepherd could get insurance amount for the sheep that died due to diseases and pests," he said. Unless the BCs manage to secure professional degrees and achieve advancement, their lives would not improve, he said and added that YSR's fee reimbursement was aimed at enabling the BC youth to obtain higher education.

Earlier, MLA Anil Kumar Yadav said that the BCs will get a fair deal only when YS Jagan comes to power. He asked the BCs to support YS jagan in the coming elections. Several BC leaders and YSRCP activists recounted their problems at the conclave.
