Hyderabad: The ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is answerable to the questions raised by Leader of Opposition YS Jagan Mohan Reddy with regard to the Paradise papers, senior YSRCP leader Buggana Rajendranath Reddy said.

Addressing the media here on Sunday, he said the leaked Paradise Papers mentioned wrong-doing on the part of Heritage industries. "YS Jagan questioned chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and TDP leaders regarding their role as mentioned in the Paradise Papers. However, their silence on the issue is baffling," Rajendranath Reddy said. Instead of answering to the people on the alleged wrong-doing, the tainted TDP leaders are busy tarnishing the image of YS Jagan, he said and added that they are unable to digest the success of Praja Sankalpa Yatra.

"The padayatra is being well-received by the people and there is always a huge turnout on each day of the yatra," Buggana said while adding that the success of the yatra is making the TDP nervous. The TDP is also answerable on the turncoat MLAs issue where the CM 'bought' the legislators with money and position, he said. Instead of commenting on YS Jagan and the success of the padayatra, the TDP would do well to answer on the list of scams during its administration that include: Polavaram, sand mining mafia, special status for AP, Sadavarthi lands and also new capital city where not a single stone was laid despite four years of TDP rule, Buggana Rajendranath Reddy pointed out.
