Hyderabad: Power star Pawan Kalyan's meeting with Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao after an hour-long wait at Pragathi Bhavan on the New Year day came in for heavy criticism from the Jana Sena chief's bitter critic Kathi Mahesh on Monday.
Kathi, in a comment posted on his Facebook page wondered whether the actor met the CM to convey New Year greetings or seek his blessings for the premiere shows of Agnyaathavaasi. The meeting was already termed as a favor-seeking event by director Ram Gopal Varma in a veiled remark.
Kathi, who loves to lock horns with the power star at the slightest excuse and is constantly on the line of fire from Pawan Kalyan's fans pitched yet another provocation with his latest remark.
Kathi stated in another post that, "Here's the man who cried a lot for several days locking himself in his house over the formation of Telangana State." Mahesh also added that Pawan Kalyan did not have enough strength to pull the audience to theaters for his movies and was trying to hype collections only through exorbitant charges for premiere shows. "Are you seeking KCR's blessings for running more premiere shows with ticket charges from Rs 3,000 to Rs5,000?" Kathi Mahesh asked Power star.
The film critic in another post took a jibe at Pawan Kalyan's policy of not contesting the elections after super star Rajinikanth said, "If someone forms a political party and not contesting elections, he will be called a cowardice." to which Kathi said, "Oh, but we call him Pawan Kalyan in our state!"
