Hyderabad: A 6-year-old girl kidnapped from school at Muppireddipally near Manoharabad in Medak district, was raped and killed by a factory worker on Wednesday.

The victim, identified as Khushbu, was the daughter of a factory worker who hails from Bihar. She was a student of a private school in the village. Labourers from Bihar and other places work have settled here as they work at the factories here. The factory worker, identified as Ravi (28), took the girl away from the school on the pretext of taking her to the parents. Ravi then took the girl to a secluded area where he raped and killed her.

After the girl’s parents lodged a complaint, the police launched a search operation and nabbed Ravi in an inebriated condition. A girl who had seen Ravi take the girl from the school identified him. During interrogation, Ravi admitted to have raped and killed the girl.

Police said that Ravi was not able to identify the exact spot where he committed the crime as he was still under the influence. The police said he shoved the body into a pipe being laid for Mission Bhagiratha. The police are now trying to ascertain the place of crime to find the body of the child in Muppireddipally-Manoharabad area.
