Hyderabad: The Miyapur police on Tuesday arrested V. Sai Kiran Reddy, the boyfriend of murdered Chandni Jain, on the charges of killing the girl in a deserted hilly area of Ameenpur on the outskirts of the city last Saturday.
The accused Sai Kiran, a resident of Madinaguda and a friend of Chandni, is said to have admitted killing the girl as she was pressurizing him to marry her. It is yet to be officially confirmed whether he also raped her before killing her brutally at Ameenpur hills on Saturday last, September 9, in a few hours after she left home. Her body was found in a decomposed condition and her top was removed. This strongly points to sexual assault on the girl before she was killed.
The 17-year-old Chandni was in a relationship with Sai Kiran for about four years as they studied at same school. He would visit the girl’s house and is known to the family. He wanted to get rid of the girl and asked her not to insist on marriage but she was pestering him to get married at the earliest. Finally, he wanted to kill her as he thought that was the only way to get rid of the girl.
Sai Kiran took Chandni to a deserted place in Ameenpur hills area and strangulated her. To be doubly sure about her death, he threw the body into a deep valley-like place after strangulating her.
Shockingly, Sai Kiran even visited the girl’s home after killing her to avoid any suspicion on him about her death.
Sai Kiran will be produced before court today.
Businessman Kishore Jain's daughter Chandni Jain was found dead under mysterious circumstances at Ameenpur hills, seven kms away from her residence at Satyanarayana Enclave in Madinaguda, Miyapur on Monday evening.
As a post-mortem was conducted on the girl's body on Tuesday, police took four suspects into custody based on some clues and CCTV footage in the area.
The crucial information gathered from a CCTV footage helped police zero in on the murderer who took Chandni towards Ameenpur hill and he was identified as Sai Kiran of Madinaguda who is said to be a friend of the deceased. Chandni's sister Niveditha identified her by the dress she wore before leaving the house.
Chandni had 3-4 friends at a dance school where she took classes in the locality. And she was moving closely with one among them and she named 'MyHeart' for his number saved on her mobile.
